Confined Space Construction Awareness
This session will provide attendees with an awareness of the 1926.1200 standard, specifically the safe management of permit-required confined space entry. There will also be a brief overview of the duties and responsibilities of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required positions.
Ross Vandenberg
National Trench Safety
Ross Vandenberg has been in the construction industry for most of his life with a focus on the underground safety industry for the last 11 years. He is a Senior District Safety Trainers for National Trench Safety traveling Nationally and internationally promoting safety through effective education. Ross brings a field personnel perspective to all of the courses he teaches.
Topic Two:
BWC Programs & Services
The session will cover various BWC programs and services available to Ohio employers. Attendees will learn about premium saving programs, unique reimbursement opportunities and other BWC options designed to assist employers with managing their workers’ compensation expenses.
Jeff Little, ARM

Jeff started his career with the BWC in the early-90s, where he spent 19 years working for a third-party administrator, and then returned to BWC in July 2015. With more than 30 years in the industry, he has worked with employers, state universities, professional employer organizations and trade associations to manage claims, assist with overall risk management, and implement various BWC programs and services. Jeff obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The Ohio State University and also holds the Associate in Risk Management insurance designation through the American Institute of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. As a current BWC business consultant, Jeff’s duties include working with employers, chambers of commerce, and trade associations, to provide education and assistance in managing workers’ compensation exposure.
